With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Brother and Uncle, Angel Aaron Rodriguez, who departed this life on March 12, 2026 at he age of 85. He passed away in his sleep, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength.

Angel was a devoted husband, a cherished Uncle, and a steady, loving presence to all who knew him. Above all he shared a deep and enduring love with his wife, Mary Lou-the love of his life. Together, they created a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, companionship, and unwavering support. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served his country with honor and dedication.

A passionate and loyal fan of the San Antonio Spurs, Angel had been a proud season ticket holder since 2003. Some of his happiest moments were spent cheering from the stands and being on the jumbotron alongside Mary Lou, sharing in the excitement of the game and the community it brought. He admired players such as Manu Ginobili, Tim Duncan, David Robinson, and Victor Wembanyama, and followed the team with unwavering pride.

Family meant everything to him. He took great joy in watching and cheering on his nieces and nephews as they played the sports they loved, going to award ceremonies, graduations, birthday dinners, thanksgivings, christmases, always showing up with encouragement, pride, and a smile. He embraced the role of a father and grandfather figure with great love and dedication, offering guidance, support, and a steady presence that will never be forgotten.

He also found happiness in life's simple pleasures-long days at the beach, spontaneous road trips, going to the senior center, and time spent with the people he loved most. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit made every moment brighter for those around him.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Lou, his sisters, Dolores R. Ramos & Maria Enriqueta and Brother-in-law Arturo H. Silva, his nieces, Aimee Rodriguez Silva, Veronica Silva Gomez, Diane Balboa, Ana Laura Ramos, and Debra Lujan, Maria Garcia, Nephews, Arturo R. Silva, Michael R. Silva, Mario R. Silva, Lauro "Larry" Ramos III, Ray Euresti Jr., and numerous grand nieces and grand nephews, who will forever hold dear the memories they shared with him.

Though Uncle Angel is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on in the love he gave to us and the lives he shaped. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

He is preceded by his parents; Valentin T. & Enriqueta P. Rodriguez; brothers; Bonifacio P. Rodriguez & Valentin P. Rodriguez Jr.; sister; Josefa Euresti.

A funeral service will be held on March 29, 2026, at Ortiz Mortuary, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and say their goodbyes.
