Amanda Carol Murray, 46, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Born and raised in Charlotte Court House, Virginia, she was the daughter of Carolyn Sue Pugh (Lemar).

Amanda attended Lynchburg College (now the University of Lynchburg), where she was a member of the Kappa Delta (KD) sorority and completed her bachelor's degree in just three years. Following graduation, she built a successful professional career before choosing to forge her own path as an entrepreneur. In a short time, Amanda established a successful wedding photography business, becoming a published photographer and capturing the love stories and special moments of countless couples.

A strong, independent woman, Amanda had the courage to pursue her ambitions and the determination to build something of her own. Above all, she was the heart of her family. She ultimately stepped away from her photography career to become a stay-at-home mom, dedicating herself to raising her son, Connor, who was her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

Amanda is survived by her beloved husband, Sean Daniel Murray; her son, Connor Sean Murray; her brothers, Jeremy Ramsey, Bret Ramsey, and Mike Lockhart; her mother, Carolyn Sue Pugh (Lemar); and her stepfather, Ronnie Pugh.

Memorial Services

Memorial services will be held at Wilmore Free Methodist Church on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with lunch to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wilmore Foundations Academy (www.wilmorefoundationsacademy.com) in Amanda's memory.
